Step 1 of 3

What type of spray foam do you need?

Not sure? Read the descriptions below — we'll help you choose the right one.

Open Cell Budget Friendly

Softer, spongy foam. Great for interior walls, attics, and soundproofing. Excellent air barrier at a lower cost. Not suitable for below-grade or moisture-prone areas.

Closed Cell Premium

Dense, rigid foam with high R-value per inch. Waterproof, structural support, and vapor barrier in one. Best for crawl spaces, exterior walls, metal buildings, and extreme climates.

Step 2 of 3

What's the square footage of the area?

Measure length × width of the space. For crawl spaces or attics, measure the floor area. For walls, estimate total wall area (length × height × number of walls).

💡 Typical home crawl space: 800–1,500 sq ft  |  Attic: 1,000–2,000 sq ft
Step 3 of 3

How many inches of foam?

More inches = higher R-value = better insulation. Building codes typically require R-13 to R-38 depending on zone and application.

1" R-4 / R-7
2" R-8 / R-14
3" R-12 / R-21
4" R-16 / R-28
5" R-20 / R-35
6" R-24 / R-42
8" R-32 / R-56
